Security for Smart Grid Infrastructures Leveraging Machine Learning on Programmable Data Planes

Universidad de Antioquia - Research Group in Applied Telecommunications

Electric substations are a critical infrastructure for cities. These infrastructures have evolved by involving digital mechanisms coming from the internet world in order to provide more flexible service models. This evolution, therefore, inherits among other things, the security problems that traditionally have existed in the internet. In order to overcome these security problems, we propose to explore the development of security solutions leveraging machine learning techniques which can be deployed through programmable switches and software defined networks.
