Data Plane Programmability for Network Softwarization

The University of Tokyo

The data plane programmability is the key technology for the network softwarization. The data plane programmability enables the much more flexible networking as opposed to the control plane based programmable network. P4 data plane programmability can extend the features of software defined networking and dynamically configure the actions beyond OpenFlow specifications. This project explores the capabilities to control the user defined packet frame format exploiting P4 data plane programmability.
